The app
Hunting notes.
GeoJSONic can keep a note from a hunt. It runs on iPhone, iPad, and iPhone Duo. You write where you stand. The note stays on the device as GeoJSON. There is no account and no ads.

What you can record
A hunting note can hold the words, a photo, and a voice recording from that spot. A stand, a sign, a gate, what the day was like, a marker you want to find again. Each one stays with the place.
You can record the walk. Hunt traces the ground you covered and keeps that shape with the note. On a wide screen, including iPhone Duo and iPad, the notes and the map sit side by side.
The same notebook works as a hunting log. It is still your own record of what you observed.
Before you lose a signal
The free app includes notes, routes, areas, and an online globe. Pro is $3.99 a month, with the first month free, or $39 a year. Pro adds offline map downloads, satellite imagery, place search, and PDF field reports. Download the map before you go. Writing the note and saving the walk do not need a connection.
What it is not
This is a personal log of what you observed. It is not a regulations app. It does not show seasons, tags, or who owns the land. It is not a replacement for onX Hunt or a similar maps app. GPS is approximate. GeoJSONic is the notebook you carry while you look.
