The app

Property line notes.

GeoJSONic can keep a note for a property line or a property boundary. It runs on iPhone, iPad, and iPhone Duo. You walk the line, write what you see, and the note stays on the device as GeoJSON. There is no account and no ads.

What you can record

Walk the line and GeoJSONic traces the path and keeps the acreage with the note. That acreage is a phone GPS estimate. Along the line you can write what you saw, attach photos, and leave a voice note. A fence post, a corner you want to find again, a gate, a wet spot. Each one stays with the place.

On a wide screen, including iPhone Duo and iPad, the notes and the map sit side by side.

Before you lose a signal

The free app includes notes, routes, areas, and an online globe. Pro is $3.99 a month, with the first month free, or $39 a year. Pro adds offline map downloads, satellite imagery, place search, and PDF field reports. Download the map before you go. Walking the line and saving the note do not need a connection.

What it is not

This is a journal for what you observed on the ground. It does not show who owns the land. It does not replace a parcel map, a plat, or a survey. GPS coordinates and acreage are approximate. If you need a legal boundary, hire a surveyor. GeoJSONic is the notebook you carry while you look.
